It's hard to believe, but we are officially one full month into the new year! I am so proud of what we accomplished in 2017... sales from Wellington Toffee went to a number of fine organizations that we partner with. We helped provide the following:
- Basic needs like school supplies, food, and toiletries to students in Davenport, Iowa
- A total of four annual scholarships awarded to students in Uganda
- School supplies, food, and clothing for over 600 students in the Dominican Republic
In 2018, our goal is to continue building on this progress and spread our reach to help even more people who are in need. Goals for 2018 include kicking off a new reading program and opening a baby pantry in Davenport, as well as a food distribution program in the Dominican to provide monthly supplies to many who are currently struggling with hunger. Finally, we aim to provide entrepreneurial capital for students in Uganda who are graduating and preparing for a bright future.
